Belief and Suffering is an ethereal wave band based in Bristol, England, made up of main producer, songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist Mylo Hodges (any pronouns), and additional vocalist and songwriter Lilith Raven-Dodd (she / her).

We take influence from a variety of genres such as ethereal wave, post-punk, dream pop, neoclassical darkwave, and gothic rock. Our most influencial bands include Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Autumn's Grey Solace, and Love Spirals Downwards.

Our music draws upon themes of the Christian faith, mental health, love, loneliness, gender identity, dissociation, and death. We hope to create music that is relatable, whether you are Christian, LGBTQ, or neither – so long as we are a healthy source of catharsis.
